Mail du 4 octobre : Portrait de Karthiga

This is about a Karthiga. I write about another girl in a next mail.
Economic and Social Conditions OF Karthiga :

Economic status :
Karthiga belongs very poor family. She is from Krishnapuram village. Her father is no more. Here mother name is Muthu .She studying 4th standard in a private management School. It is nearer to her village. She goes to school by walk every day. Her mother goes to agriculture fieldwork every day. She gets Rs 30 as coolly for every day. It is an only source income for their entire family. Some time she may not have fieldwork since agriculture is recessional.

Social status

She lives in a small hut. There is no power supply in her house. She used to study under streetlight. She is one of the students in the DACA evening study center in her village. During my visit to that village, I spend some time with the students and their parents. I give some special attentions to Karhtiga and her family. I am motivating the girl to study well.

The aim of the girl
She is very bright student. She studies very well. She scores 5th rank in her class. She wants to become a Doctor. Becoming Doctor from Dalit community is not easy one. But she is very strong in her aim. I too wished her and I am motivating her towards her aim. I told her you prepare yourself to attain the goal.

I am getting financial support for my studies from you people. I promise to you that I study well and I achieve my aim and I would be very helpful to girls like in the future. I never ever forget your generous support for me. I remember you and your parents in our daily prayer.

How are you? I hope you are doing well. How is your mother and your father. Are they doing well? Please convey my regards to them. Here we all fine. Tomorrow is Alan’s birth day( 20th October) He is now 2 years old. He is very active. Please tell the message to your father and mother. If it is possible call me tomorrow at any time in the day or night.

Economic and Social Status of Kalishwar
Kalishwari belongs very poor family. Kaluvankulam is her name of the village. It is 7 KM from south side of DACA. She is only one girl in her family. She has one elder brother and one younger brother. Both are studying in a government school. Her father is working as a watchman in a private school for daily wage. Her mother goes to field work for daily wage. They are living in a small hut. The family source of income is by her mother and father. Their family income is not enough even for maintain their family.
She is studying 5th standard in her village school. She is very smart in her studies. The money which you send for her is very helpful for her. When ever i go to her village, i meet her parents and i am motivating them to be very supportive for her studies.
She said “ She want to become a Doctor and she likes to serve the poorest of the poor “ She told special thanks to you and the donors. She never ever forget. She promised me that she would achieve the aim of her.
